Frequently Asked Questions

"Samantha was a very professional photographer. Everything in our contract was spelled out. The pictures she did were amazing!! I would highly recommend All Occasion Photography!"

1. What’s your photography style and approach?

My photography style is a beautiful mixture of both photojournalism and traditional. I strive to capture spontaneous and candid moments in a non-obtrusive way, showing the real you, but I also love to take fun and stylishly posed photographs. Capturing the details are a bit of a weakness for me too.

My approach at weddings during the ceremony and reception is like a "fly on the wall." I capture all the emotions and events of the day as they unfold, without being in the way. I provide coaching and direction, along with the help of an assistant or second shooter during family and bridal party formals when needed as well!

2. How do I book you?

Please submit your photography request here. A signed agreement and a 50% retainer is due to book your session and the remaining balance will be due one week before the session. I accept PayPal, Square, all Major Credit Cards, Checks, Money Orders and Cash.

3. Do you shoot digital, or film? Color or black and white?

I shoot digital and in full color.

4. Can you customize a wedding package if none of them work for us?

Personal customization is welcome on all packages. Items can be removed or added, and the pricing will change accordingly.

5. Can we request a list of shots or visual images for you to take?

Yes, this helps us to get a feel for your style, and for weddings, we provide you with a general formal shot list that can be edited to suit your needs and helps make the formals session go smooth and fast, allowing you more time for bride and groom formals, cocktail hour or some down time to relax before your reception!

6. Are you our actual photographer? Is a second shooter available?

I am your actual photographer, unless we have two weddings on the same day and then Krysten would photograph your wedding. I would still take care of you before and after your wedding as planned. We also have a third photographer, allowing us to be able to capture 2nd and 3rd perspective photographs for an additional $75 per hour per additional photographer. Must be booked for same amount of hours as lead photographer.

Examples:

1 Photographer 6 hours $1050

2nd Photographer 6 hours $450

  $1,500 2/Shooters 6/hrs

1 Photographer 6 hours $1050

2nd Photographer 6 hours $450 3rd Photographer 6 hours $450

  $1,950 3/Shooters 6/hrs

7. Do you have back up equipment in case something fails?

Yes, I carry 2 Canon bodies, 6 lenses, 2 external flash units, and many extra memory cards and batteries.

8. What sets you apart and makes you different from other photographers?

I have an eye for detail and I really love capturing spontaneous and candid moments and turning them into lifetime memories.

I love to work closely with my clients to get to know them, especially my wedding couples and I send multiple emails throughout our relationship, always keeping in touch and sending helpful information along as we go.

If you choose All Occasion Photography, you get affordable prices and high quality images in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

9. How do you archive my images?

I archive all sessions for a lifetime online via SmugMug and on 2 external hard drives.

10. What is included in your prices?

All pricing includes either a disc or USB(both subj. to tax), or a downloadable zip file of all your finaledited, high-resolution JPEG photos, a signed print release to print anywhere you choose, a secured viewing and photo gift gallery via SmugMug and 10 travel miles from All Occasion Photography.

(Shipping of Albums/Frames/Prints, Lodging and Additional Travel/Mileage fees are extra if applicable.)

11. How long does it take to get my final images and are they watermarked?

It depends on the type of session, but you will receive your final images in high-res JPEG format within 8 weeks from the session date and with no watermarking.

12. Can I print my photographs somewhere else?

Yes, you can print your photographs anywhere you'd like and for added convenience, you can visit my Gallery after your session to purchase prints and photo gifts via SmugMug if you choose to do so. Weddings are password protected with the 2 digit month, 2 digit day and 4 digit year of your Anniversary Date.

13. What special effects can I get?

All of your images will be in full color so there are a wide variety of options available. Any of your images can be converted into Black & White, Sepia, or I can do specific objects in color with the rest of the image in B&W; for example, the bride's bouquet in color and the rest of the image in black & white. I can also apply a soft focus effect or vignetting to your images. Airbushing/Retouching of photos may be done for an additional cost.

14. Can I make personal copies of my disc(s)?

Yes, our agreement holds your print release and I encourage you to make copies for your personal use and store them in a safe place. These are your digital negatives so you'll want them backed up. You may purchase additional copies of your disc from me as well for just $10. USB replacements are $15.

15. What is your cancellation policy?

If for any reason the Client cancels their contract before the eventdate, the Photographer will keep the retainer, and any remaining balance paid will be refunded to the client within 60 days. If for any reason the event date needs to be rescheduled, we will do everything in our power to work with your new date at no extra charge. If new date conflicts with date already booked, we apologize for the inconvenience but must honor bookings on a first come, first serve basis. If we are unable to re-book your event, due to conflict, retainer is non-refundable.
